Our History

CKM began as an all-purpose shop called Sin Kian store founded in 1940 by Mr. Simon Nursalim, the father of five sons and a daughter, in downtown Jakarta.

In 1978, the second generation of the family took over the store Nursalim Kian Sin of Father Simon Nursalim and developed into an appliance store. In 1980, the store Kian Sin becomes a distributor and seller of home appliances overseas. These brands are:

  1. Taurus Electrodomésticos (Spanyol)
  2. Rowenta (Jerman)
  3. Moulinex (Perancis)
  4. Candy Washing Machine (Itali)
  5. Prestige Pressure Cooker (Inggris)
  6. La Germania (Itali)

In 1982, CKM appointed as the sole distributor for Philips products "Consumer Lifestyle".

Presently, CKM stands as one of Indonesia’s largest distributors companies employing more than 1.000 employees and owning over 5.000 distribution channels all over the country. In 2013 alone, CKM successfully sold over 4 million units of Philips appliances.
